Journeying Home: Thoughts on Dying Well
How often do we think - really think - about preparing for our own deaths or for those of our dear ones? David Pott, a Companion in the Northumbria Community, kept a diary over the time of the deaths of his mother and father; he feels very strongly that we should reflect more on this key subject and has made his diary available for publication in this 'Personal Perspective'.
His experiences were, on the whole, very positive (some may find them very different to their own negative and depressing ones); so the story he tells is an uplifting one, inspiring each of to ponder anew on the way in which we will, one day. 'cross the bar'.
